1929 LF. Discovered 1929 June 11 by G. N. Neujmin at Simeis. Named by the discoverer for the city of Stavropol' in northern Caucasus region. Between 1936 and 1946 the city was named Woroschilowsk.

A total of 150 observations were used from data acquired on September 2,3, and 5, 2001 covering the entire lightcurve with no gaps.
